I guess we'll get it tonight on NBC with a tape delay!

Very Cirque du Soleil , with a heavy Greek Mythological influence, and some incredible special effects and a lot of airborne super-marionettry (is that a word?) aerial sculpture, living statuary tracing Grecian history - even a little nod to La Divina Callas... All in a kind of lake in the middle of the stadium. With fireworks....

I heard NBC deleted some nude scenes. Anyone in Europe or Australia see what it was that we missed?
We watched and really enjoyed the trivia tidbits that they had for so many of the countries. Very educational.
I liked when the runner with the flag symbolically stumbled at the tapes for the cancelled Olympics.

Some of the "artists" in the section of re-created statuary appeared to be nude, but were, in fact, not. Their bodies were painted white and they wore body stockings and apparatus which may have given that impression. :b:
