This is always a fun little quiz to tell you where you're best suited to live. I live in SoCal but this is never where it says I should live. Tulsa,Ok always comes up in my top 5 places and the irony is that is where I grew up! Find Your Spot

I got clear to the end and they wanted too much personal info, is there a way around that part?

The "Fake" Beth ended up with Little Rock, AK as a #1 pick. I think this town usually lands in my top 5. Baltimore, MD was #4. I was born there!!

John and Karen, I live about 30 miles east of Salisbury Maryland! Indeed, a nice place to live! You must both like really small cities, as I don't think that the population is more than 25-30,000!

Most of my spots were in Fl or TX all near the water and small - one was St Augustine little south of us -

Marcie, we can be neighbors in Tulsa.

Edit to add: None of my spots were in Arkansas, where I grew up. Several were in TN.

As a nom-American my persona should move to Boston with Long Island New York as number 2 pick

Funny thing is my brother was born in Boston and I have been going there since I was 9 years old.

Never been to Long Island...but I love New York city.

Too funny! Having moved around a lot (who? us? :rolleyes: ), I shouldn't be surprised that every single one of these on the list were areas we targeted when we found out we would have to move again. 7 locations were in Texas, and 5 in Arizona (Phoenix being in the #1 spot), and 5 in Florida (one of them being Cape Coral, where we wanted to spend the rest of our lives but Time Warner had other plans :mad: )...the others were split among GA (we've lived there and loved it, too), SC, AL, and TN.

My top place was Port Townsend Washington, ALL the way across the country from where I already am! Seems like a nice place, but I can't recall that they ever asked you about your family and where they are! Seems strange, no?

I came out Norfolk Virginia
That is a far cry from San Francisco I guess
I would really like to live in a warmer climate some day.I guess that you people who live through ice and snow can't understand how I can say San Francisco is cold.Instead of going south as some people do in the winter I would like to go somewhere warm during the summer

Bette, didn't Mark Twain say the coldest winter he ever spent was summer in San Francisco?

We were there for a convention once, and it sleeted so hard they shut the cable cars down (cables were icy, the cars couldn't grip) and put us off in the middle of nowhere. Quite an adventure; there were six or seven of us, so we had a good time finding our way back to Union Square.

Bette, I've drawn a line from San Francisco to Norfolk, VA. As you can see, you are directly across the US from your #1 Spot. Norfolk is the pink dot below the line.

Iguess that I am just a bit depressed rght now because we really haven't had a summer.Of course if we drive a short distance out of town it is warm. I am at work during the week so can't do that.

My fake "Patti" (our first cat) is best suited for Norfolk, VA. If our kids and grandchildren lived there I'd be happy to move there in a flash. The following 5 were the next choices: Greenville, SC, Jacksonville, FL, Charlestown, SC, Chattanooga, TN and Cincinnati, OH.

Hi Olivia - yes we lived for 4 years on the Nanticoke River at Hatcrown Point near Salisbury. Actually going to the Eastern Shore this next weekend for a dog show in Easton. Looking forward to great crab cakes.
We did the quiz and it came back Baltimore and Chesapeake Va. We live near Camp David, MD about an hour away, so I guess that's a pretty great fit. We love it here.

KathyZ, we had some of the same locations. You can "change answers" so I went back and "played" with changing some answers, tried Big City, Middle size, and small town and it loves to give me various cities and towns within the same states....VA, N.C, S.C, OK, TN, nothing west of Texas. I always pick safety as being high priority.

Move over, Masaki ..

#1 Honolulu;
#2 Little Rock, Arkansas (Gary sez "HUH? NO WAY!);
#3 Baton Rouge, LA;
#4 Las Vegas, NV (Gary sez: Oh come on!!!) and
#5 Baltimore MD.

Conclusion? Time for a Brown and Keene Escorted trip to Maryland!

Cheers, Anne

My neighbor(me) should be in Grand Rapids, MI. Not a bad place. Only 3 of the 24 were in Ohio, most were in MI or Indiana. Interesting.

Interesting Lynn. You must have checked that snow was ok.. For Tom's sake, I checked year around golf as a must yet we didn't get ONE city in CA, FL, AZ or HI.(obvious year around golf climates). Hunting and fishing was a definite no.

Thanks Marcie, this was fun.

Fountain Hills, Page, Sedona, Prescott, Scottsdale, as well as Bisbee and Green Valley AZ (both of which are less than an hour away) was one "cluster." Hendersonville, Hickory, Ashville, and Morgantown NC coupled with Maryville, Paris and Clarkesville TN (ably supported by Greenville SC and Gainesville, GA) was the other. So 6 of the top 24 spots(including the top two) were in the AZ foothills (I left Scottsdale out of this set) and 9 are in the Appalacian foothills. Apparently, based on these findings and our cruise choices, I'm really a hillbilly (Karen couldn't find an appropriate Greamlin for this) with strong Polynesian tendencies! cheer

Greg, I still can't believe we didn't get anything in AZ in top 10.
Once again, I tweaked some answers just a bit....now it's giving me the TOP places I've never even heard of

Guthrie, Oklahoma Victorian Elegance
This elegant town full of Victorian architecture was founded as 1889 as Oklahoma's first capital…
Population: 9,925 | Average Home Price: $125,000 | Precipitation: 32" | Snow: 10"

Murray, Kentucky By the Land Between the Lakes
Acquired by General Andrew Jackson in the 1818 Jackson Purchase, this spot is today best known for the beautiful, vast lakes surrounding it…
Population: 19,500 | Average Home Price: $107,000 | Precipitation: 49" | Snow: 9"

The best thing about ALL my results are housing prices !!

Guess I'll tell Tom to start packing....we're off to Guthrie ! :banana: (Can't imagine Guthrie is ready for Tom Matassa !)
