I just checked my goldpoints numbers and found out that they were all transferred to goldpoints plus, so I cannot use them for cruises under goldpoints itself. That is a real bummer.Has this happened to anyone else? I thought I had joined goldpoints, not goldpoints plus, and my password gets me into goldpoints, but somehow my points went to plus.Bummer.

I noticed the other day that Radisson hotels are not a choice anymore for redeeming points.
Editing to add, I just logged into my Goldpoints acct. and was not taken to GoldPoints plus? I also still see the Regent Cruise redeem option.

When I logged on, it said that my account was with goldpoint plus (even thought I always log on to regular goldpoints and had prior balances there).

I wonder what the affect will be when the deal with Apollo goes through and Regent Cruises is not part of Carlson.
Of course there are a couple of options: Points. com where you can consolidate points from a variety of places or use the goldpoints to buy stuff.
I read recently that the Regent Hotels will NOT be part of the deal.
There is a man named Adam Aron who used to be with RVL and several other cruise lines over the years who is a Apollo board member. I have to assume that he is very specifically involved.

Hmm, glad I just redeemed a bunch of points! Too bad about the hotels--I was hoping I might use my remaining points for something like this.
If RSSC (whatever it's going to be called!) is no longer in the Gold Points program, I'll just move the rest of my points over to my Aeroplan via points.com.

I apparently signed up for goldpoints plus and not goldpoints. they will not transfer my points from plus to goldpoints. apparently there are quite a few complaints. i am going to write to my consumer protection department and to as high up as i can get re the plussers. a little bait and switch, i think.

And even more confusion, how does Points.com work? Can you move your Goldpoints there? I think I am a member but never really checked into it.
Editing to add, I played with Points.com this afternoon and swapped a bunch of points that I will never use like Alaska air into programs that I will use, like US Air. Thanks, Wendy for making me look at Points.com again!

Karen, points.com is a site that has deals with many points programs. You can register your goldpoints there, and any other frequent flyer or other program that they have a deal with. I have my Aeroplan miles there, and Gold points. They do AAAdvantage as well, I think. Some of their partners haven't signed up for the "full monty", i.e., swap, buy, sell, redeem. Northwest is one of those--which is a drag, because I have some miles that I would love to swap to Aeroplan, but can't. They take a cut, I presume.
They have a new thing coming in December called "GPX", Global Points Exchange. It's supposed to be a marketplace for exchaning points with other people. Interesting, wonder how well it will work! I thought most points programs prohibited this type of thing.
