This just struck me as bizarre; reading the obituaries in todays's ATL paper, Mrs. Lovie Howell, age 98, died. Evidently her given name, can you imagine how much teasing she received over the years since the TV show? Yes, I did a google search and evidently, the name was spelled LovEY, but who knew??

No, just a "normal" picture with no reference to "maritime" activities!

I was in the bar of a local mexican restaurant (El Coyote - for you locals out there), known for it's cheap food and drinks, many years ago with a friend and the actress who played Mrs. Howell (Natalie Schaffer) came in and sat down at the next booth. We struck up a conversaion and wound up talking for about 1 1/2 hours. She paid our bar tab! Only in LA... She seemed like a lovely person.
