One of the joys of sailing on the PG is the search for the Perfect Pearl(s) (I don't get it - they're just round greyish/bluish/greenish rocks, but evidently some people like them :p ).

So the last night of the cruise, a few of the ladies got together and laid out their collections. Here's a pic of their Haul:

And the shopping never ends, even on the Motu:

BUT some of us had other thing in mind. Like

OR (But check out those pearls):

Or Even:

(Still uploading pics from PEARLS so more to follow later)

Oooooh! I see Arlene did finely end up with a beauty of a double pearl....way to go Arlene! That was funny Gil but don't even try to understand ladies and how we even have to shop on a motu in the middle of the Pacific.

Great photos, Gil! I am really not much into jewelry, but I love the look of black pearls. Very unique. I am hoping to get another small one on this trip, perhaps blue this time (my first was GREEN, of course :) ).

Hey Gil! Bringing back fond memories of our wonderful (and sunny) cruise! Let see - I have my pearl bracelet now, my daughter has a pearl ring AND a bracelet - I agree, there seems to be a fever that takes hold of us femmes where black pearls and French Polynesia are concerned.....but I needed that - I had a pendant and a ring, and earrings, but not a bracelet! Don't you understand!! Lovely jewelry was worn by all....way to go Arlene!
