Ahhhhh.....an excuse to hire a pool/yard boy??? live and learn...

Okay, so how shall my newspaper ad read...."due to medical condition I am in need of hiring someone, preferably, male and good looking ('cause you know while I am looking at him, I will feel SO much less guilty about not doing the work), to help me with yard work!"

Seroiusly though, after reading a lot about it last night on the internet, I think I can still do all that stuff, just change how I do it...i.e. wear long sleeves and long pants and wash immediately after I am done...both my clothes and me. I think if I do that I will be ok....hopefully.

Thanks everyone! :)

Same thing happens to me when I don't have two cruises booked for the next year.

My daughter called me today and said she's got poision ivy all over her, so bad that her hands are swollen and the leisons are starting to weep. I guess she inherited another one of my nasty genes. Maybe next time she pulls weeds she will wear gloves.

Sheri, my daughter never had poision ivy before that I know of, she's 40 now and now she's allergic.

Karen,
Isn't that weird...both my brothers seemed to have it head to toe all their childhood, while I wondered what it even looked like....and NOW I decide to develop the allergy at 40!! The other allergens seem to be creeping into my "old age" too...pollen, dust, mold etc. UGH!

Sheri, glad you went to the Dr. and discovered your "itching" culprit. Poison ivy can be nasty. My daughter got a horrible case last year while working in her yard and it took about two months to finally clear up.

I get it too. When I lived back East and would work in the yard, I would go inside about every 30-40 minutes and wash my hands, arms and face with strong soap. That seemd to help, along with spraying "Round-up" on the offending vines!

Your idea of a handsome pool boy/yard man is the best solution :D .

Well, a lawn ornament certainly should be attractive!
