Do you see the ship docked off our stern? It is the "Rising Sun" out of George Town, Cayman Islands. It is 453 ft. long and has a crew of 50. Can you imagine how much it costs to be berthed here and maintain that crew on a daily basis? I guess if you have to ask.... It is purported to be for sale for US$200 million and to be owned by Larry Ellison of Oracle.

I love Cape Town harbor. Do you think "Rising Sun" has formal nights and no tipping?

They left from Richards Bay - actually Carol of Carol and Ralph sent me the link. I will see if I can find it and email it to you.

Ngaire, I think you are talking about this other couple who went to Leopard Hills from Richards Bay.

Yes, it was the other couple. I just emailed Marcie and told her that. I was in a very busy state when I got that from Carol and read the details but not who posted it. Ah DUH!

Looking forward to the blog from Chuck and Linda.

I contacted Duncan at Leopard Hills and checked and he said Chuck and Linda were having a great time and had enjoyed some really great sightings.

Chuck & Linda have posted about their safari time now:
http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/South-Africa/blog-492841.html

Another blog has just been updated with the sad news that Dr. Tinkle had to leave the ship in Cape Town by ambulance with the expectation of flying home from there. So sad.
