Happy New Year to all from very hot Melbourne in 2008. It reached 111C here today and is still just on 90c at midnight. Thank you all LCTer's for your informative and entertaining posts during 2007 and I look forward to equally interesting ones in 2008.

Happy New Year from Tokyo where we just left a wonderful party. After growing up in California watching Dick Clark on a three hour delay, it is kind of nice celebrating New Year's Eve 14 hours before New York and 17 hours before California.
Hope everyone has a wonderful celebration!

This sure is fun... getting New Years' Greetings from around the world. Thanks, Wayne and Marc. Let's see who will be next to check in.

I caught the Beijing folks ringing in the new year. We saw the ball drop at 10 pm out here.
Happy new year's to all! Cheers, Anne

Two hours and 14 minutes to go here.
This may be the first year I don't make it until midnight. Maybe I should pretend I'm on a cruise!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to one and all from Michigan, aka winter wonderland! Since we are not among those who have lost power due to heavy snow on trees that fell and broke onto power lines we are enjoying the beauty of 6 to 8 inches of heavy, wet snow - the perfect kind for building snowmen.

Happy New Year folks. We're just getting the snow from Michigan. We're expected to get a few inches. But it's very wet and mild. I admit I haven't been out of the house in two days, but this afternoon I will shovel, no doubt.
