Oh Suzie so HOT here and in for another week of high temps - we aren't done with it till end of Sept - worse summer I recall just exhausting - no point having a pool cold shower much better :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

All over town, people are asking, what would you rather have, 3 feet of snow or sustained 100 degree temps? Lucky us, we've gotten to have both in the same year! But, if given a choice, most people were saying til recently that they'll take the heat. In the last day or so, that worm has turned, and now we have people longing for huge piles of snow.

This has been a terribly hot summer with above 90s for 6 weeks + with the exception for 3 or so 80s days. I miss my outside walking, but just can't seem to do it at 80* with 70+ humidity at 7am. So, it's to the mall I go...... I would love more rain, too, but that pushes up the humidity..... Summer!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

It's so hot that steam comes off items that we take out of the freezer! Can't walk to the mailbox or take the dogs outside without dripping with sweat.
Just PRAYING the A/C doesn't pick this time of year to conk out...

I know what you're talking about. It was 90 today but it felt so cool I had my windows down in the car. With the humidity gone it felt more like upper 70s or low 80s.
On top of the heat, we had a possible small tornado yesterday. Many in the area don't have power 24 hours later.
I think the Mayans were off by a couple of years. So far this year we have had a 3+ foot blizzard (record), an earthquake (minor but largest recorded here), most 100 degree days in a month, and now a small tornado.

I loved the winds that whipped up the bay here yesterday, and it seemed to drop 20 degrees in about an hour. Okay, umbrella in the pool and table turned over and I forgot to lock down the spa cover and had to put it back on. Just nice not to be oppressed with that awful heat!

It's a cool 94 here in Fort Worth now...better enjoy it because we're forecast to be 100-104 with full-on sunshine for the whole next week! I used to LIVE for hot weather but now I kind of want a break. Must have something to do with getting older!

HOTlanta is certainly that!! Forget the "official" temps as they lie! On the day our totally in the shade thermometer said 98, they said the high was 95! And no rain at our house!

We have gone from a 15 year drought to
about 4 inches above normal this summer.
Temps were very nice until this past week.
Been hitting the upper 90's or lower 100's
this week.

They weren't kidding when they said it was the hottest June/July on record. I could make a nice down payment on a cruise for what I'm paying to stay cool for 1 month!!

As cold as I was this winter and swore I wouldn't complain about heat, I guess I lied! I think the only thing worse was the summer of 1980 when it was 105 for many days and I was in the mountains with no AC and few places to find it, except in the car and the AC grocery store, BUT I was 30 yrs younger!!

It is just sizzling down here in south Florida. We won't get a break in the temp. until late October. Just please no storms this year!
We were in Rome last week and it wasn't any cooler there, but Paris did cool us down into the 70's so no complaints.

We FINALLY got some clouds! And now it's actually raining! I'm sure it's short-lived, but it's sweet. I think I see smiles on our plants out back. :) :)

NO relief here - my live in weather man tells me rain this weekend - have to rain mucho to cool this area down - my hands were HOT on steering wheel yesterday after an hr in Publix - some TUT ports should be easy ;) for TX and FL travelers
