Now that CruiseCal.com has become a fee-based service, everyone is looking for an alternative port calendar site. Here is an excellent (and still free, for now...) site:

www.PortTime.com

It has better graphics than CruiseCal and good maps, too. It will allow you to look at the whole itinerary of a cruise and see the other ships in each port, plus the total number of pax on those ships.

For example, here's the link to the current Voyager itinerary:

Where\'s Voyager today??? And who else is there???

Very handy, no??

Have fun. Cheers, Fred

GREAT find, Fred! This is such a handy site to see who is in port with you! Will there be a few hundred or a few thousand? This site will let you know!

Fred, I can't figure out how to add the "who else is in port" feature to my search?

Karen - If you want to have it show the way it did in my Voyager example, here's how I did it:

1. On the PortTime homepage, select the ship in the View by Ship box. That takes you to the current itinerary.

2. Then you can either select another itinerary for 2008 or 2008 or see the current itinerary with other ships in port and the nifty map by clicking on "click here" in the sentence at the top of the page that says, "To view the ship's current itinerary, click here."

Unfortunately, Porttime was discontinued (for whatever reason??)...someone on CC found this one:

http://www.cruisett.com/ports.php

Smaller ships such as Regent and Silversea are not listed, but at least one can get an idea if the BIG DADDIES are going to be in port at the same time as us. We're going to have Kusadasi all to ourselves next week!!!

I just emailed them to ask what where the chances of adding RSSC and Silversea to the list, it can't hurt to ask!

And here is the prompt reply that I received and it sounds like eventually, we will be added!

Quote
Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

At present our target is to have every line with a ship of over 1000
passengers in the site by the end of 2008.

This would unfortunately not include Regent Seven Seas and Silversea.
However, in the new year we will start to input the luxury lines with
smaller ships.

We are also working on a feature to allow a user to create their own
virtual itinerary for unlisted ships. I do not currently have an
estimated date on this feature, but it is on the 2008 list.

Very useful. Thanks. Obviously it would be better if they had Regent and the other luxury lines; but at least I know that there won't be any big ships in port once we leave Istanbul on our 10/30/09 Navigator cruise.

It's odd that Windstar and Azamara are listed. Presumably that's because of Azamara's connection with Celebrity and Windstar's former connection with HAL.

I was just throwing this back up to the top. It does not look like they made progress with Silversea, but like Kristin said, at least we can check for other ships on our dates.

Update: Here it is over a year later, and Regent or Silversea are still not included on CruiseTT website. Too bad, wonder what the problem is?
