Ngaire, I noticed you are using the Conrad Hotel in Istanbul. I stayed there just last week and found it to be an excellent hotel. But I think they feel everyone there is on an expense account. Drinks at the bar were $25 each. A soda in the room mini bar was $15, as was a small bottle of water. I was surprised at how high the prices were. Tom.
