Warren, a great way to get special invitations is to ask questions. So, ask at the Reception Desk or Concierge Desk or whatever it is they have these days in the lobby atrium "How does the bridge get their weather information?" The person you ask won't know of course, but they should pass your question on to the person who does know and beyond getting an answer frequently that will lead to an introduction and possibly an invitation to a demonstration of whatever you are querying.
