Andi, I have the dual voltage appliances too and I love them. All I need to carry is the adapters. After burning out so many things with voltage convertors, I find it easier to just use the dual voltage (and they are the same price as regular!!) curling irons, blow dryers and straigteners. I think Conair makes the best ones.

If you are looking for dual voltage hair appliances, check your local Walmart or pretty much any drugstore, they all sell the Conair ones for under $20
