Nichole from Kerr and Downey just sent us this update from South Africa:

“The President of South Africa addressed the nation last night, where the country was moved down from an alert level three to an alert level one status. This is as a result of a combination of factors including a significant drop in our daily COVID-19 cases, our recovery rate currently sitting on 94% and the stringent health as safety protocols being adhered to across the country.

Additionally, South Africa has started our vaccine roll out, currently focused on our frontline workers before moving onto a phased two approach for the wider population.”

And she said the wineries opened up for tasting last week.

We also read that the Seychelles were up to 70% vaccinated.
