Just to clear up how I found flights with the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card from DFW-IAH-AMS:
I have a United Airlines account. I did an award search to see availability for DFW to AMS, which was not in their system for the date I wanted but checked a date where it was in the system and it was a good flight for us. United wanted 60,000 points and $5.60 taxes for a one-way Business Saver award flight. When it was available which was two or three days ago I went to the Chase travel portal and I transferred 120,000 Chase Ultimate Reward points to United and snagged 2 business class tickets. The points transfer only took a minute or two. We will not earn miles miles for the flights. With the business saver award the shorter flight is usually in coach, but in our case Dallas to Houston is only an hour flight.
I could have booked these flights on the Chase portal but it would have cost me 556,900 points per person which is a $8,353.50 per ticket if you were to buy them. Chase actually buys the ticket from United, which means you would earn miles for the flights, but transferring the points to United for an award was a much better value. There are 3 Chase cards that earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Here is a link that may explain the process a little better than I did.
