I am contemplating trying out the new Silver Cloud Expedition ship in 2019. This is a lovely little ship and will be a very luxurious expedition ship. I always think of Antarctica and Arctic regions for expedition travel it is the only way you can really see the polar regions. Doing these types of cruise on a large ship is not the same experience.

I like to do an expedition trip every year so I was thinking about itineraries that can be done on a larger ship but that would be quite different on an expedition ship.

Circumnavigation of Iceland - remote fishing villages, waterfalls, volcanic regions, prime whale watching and bird (puffins my favorite)
British Isles and Ireland - by zodiac to the tiny islands and villages that have you step back in time. Old castles and architecture, thatched houses, English gardens, and birds (lots of puffins too)

I have no idea if those types of trips would interest anyone so curious as to your thoughts?
