On our previous trip, my husband who has lived in So Cal for a very looong time, spent the morning drives in his parka, gloves and hat and wrapped in 2 blankets with a hot water bottle. Those of us who grew up in NY found it a bit more tolerable than that but it was cold! -------------------- Helen
