Anne love your descriptive write ups and the pictures were great. Nothing tells a story like pictures.

I also understand the heat and the bugs. Been in Northern Queensland at this time of the year with a heat wave. A town inland is Towoomba - the flies there were so thick that you did not want to talk for fear of them flying into your mouth. I remember it well and I was only about 16 at the time.

You all seem to making the best of it and hopefully that nasty weather will be behind you for the rest of the trip.
