Wow! 8.0 is great. The only word of caution we have to watch out for is South African inflation. We are getting a better exchange rate against the Rand when our Dollar is being hammered against the Euro. This may be good in the short run and should encourage everyone to take advantage of it. The only concern is that the merchants of South Africa start to make up for their weakened Rand by raising prices. I think this will affect us more since our Dollar is weaker against the Euro. The South African economy is especially interesting since they have such a unique tie to the precious metal commodity markets. Hopefully someone with much more insight than me will weigh in and give their opinion.
If the exchange rate was getting better because our Dollar was getting stronger then I wouldn't worry at all. I just worry that something else may be in play and hopefully someone can shed more light on the situation. By the way, don't get me wrong. I'm not all doom and gloom.. I'm going to take as much advantage as I can from this good exchange rate no matter why it's happening!!!
