Well, I just jinxed myself. All this virtual exposure to all you people has given Marika her first virus. :D She's running a 104 degree fever which comes down with Tylenol (thank goodness). Hates the Tylenol - sorry, kid, it's good for you as I'm forcing it down her throat. Sleeping a lot today. Being the medical geeks that we are, we brought home an otoscope to make sure that she didn't have an ear infection - nope, just a plain virus.

Of course, this couldn't come at a worse time since Amanda and I are scheduled to leave tomorrow (without her) to go to the Big Island for a 4 day weekend at the Four Seasons Hualalai. (sigh) We'll see how things go today/tonight/tomorrow morning. Grandparents are fully capable of watching her while we're gone but not sure if we'd be OK with leaving. Luckily, despite the fever, sleeping a lot more than usual, and some mild crankiness, she's actually acting pretty normally.
