If you decide to go to the BB motu, and it gets cancelled because of weather (as it did once for us), you can always just go into town and rent a car or moke-type vehicle and drive around the island. That's a good backup plan for excursion cancellation. I think you also could take a cab to Matira beach and just wander and hang around as well.
