Twice in the last couple of weeks, this area has had sudden, creepy storms with 80 mph winds--no hurricane or tornado, it just suddenly turns dark, the rain comes down in buckets, and high winds flash through. So many trees have come down that people are without power for several days. I've been fortunate in that where I work and live have not been too affected, but I went out this morning to the area I moved from back in March, and it looked like a disaster area, with trees down and debris everywhere.
