I have looked at that schedule & WOW. I would really be interested in the last leg - Peru to FLL, but RSSC seems very proud when it comes to pricing.
Didn't know Lawrence would be with you for part of the cruise. And I hope a lot of your WC friends will be joinging you.
I am already looking forward to your journel.

Oh, segment 4 looks lovely, especially since we haven't done the Panama canal. But this kind of itinerary will have to wait until David's at least partly retired. Maybe 2008!

Marcie:

This is one cruise we can "technically" do while still working. I can piece together enough vacation time and take a paid sabbatical from work. However, all our other travels dig into that vacation time. Also, Arlene doesn't have the same ability to take two months off paid. We would also need to set aside the money which would limit our other cruising. Therefore, I don't know when we will ever be able to book this cruise.....however, I am penciling in for around 2009 or 2010.

We are so looking foward to your reports of things to do and not do.....to help us out down the road.

Great Joanna, while we will miss you on PARTY, now you get to be with Marcie and Tom once again!

Editing to say to Anne, yes, this is your best work ever giving this cruise the SAMBUCA name. Could not be more perfect with Marcie and Tom aboard!

The lovely Miss Lynn and I are considering at this point. Ngaire is negotiating with FLL to see if we can board in Rio and get off in Valpariso. Not much available in the way of staterooms though; to be precise, there are two, an A and a D. We'll see what jells. There are quite a few folks from the 2005 WC who are on this cruise as well.

Sorry, Marcie, but it ain't gonna happen! RSSC won't prorate, so we'd have to pay the CAT A price for the full two segments, regardless of where we'd get on and get off. Can't afford that; I'd have to win the lotto. Ngaire was really responsive at getting the answers though. The ship is basically full.

DANG! I'm so sorry it didn't work out but I understand. I knew the ship was very full! All this bad news in one day.......first I test out as Bree on "Desperate Housewives" and now no Doug & Lynn!! :mecry: :mecry: :mecry:

Are you guys on MUSH?

Well, I even played both lotteries last night. Of course, I didn't win. Sure would like to do the Manaus-Callao legs, but just can't afford the tab. Guess we'll just have to be satisfied with the Navigator or Voyager Spring crossing and KIWI next year. Even both of the crossings are pretty much filled up. Not much in the way of stateroom selection. We're booked on Navigator, but may change to Voyager if Jerry and Danilo aren't going to be aboard for thew crossing. Guess RSSC isn't hurting.

Marcie; We might be with you for part of the cruise after all. BA-Callao(20 days). Just have to convince Miss Lynn. If we go, we'll probably do a 2 day pre-cruise in BA and be in stateroom 830 aboard Mariner.

Marcie; Add Judy and Warren Waite to the list from BA-Callao. Don't have a stateroom # for them yet, but Ngaire booked them yesterday. Great couple; you'll like them.

I'll post this here, because some may not read the Circle Pacific thread. Count Florida ran into Andreas Noehammer at LAX on his way to PG for a short stay. Andreas will be our Hotel Director for the SA cruise. He's a great guy and a fantastic HD; our favorite along with Fabrizzio.

Good News! Elda (assistant cruise director on WC) is going to be on the entire "Sambuca" trip on the Mariner! She's so excited as she's never been to SA before. She's a sweetheart!

More good news. I know some of you know these 2 nice guys who were on the WC: Hans Rotheudt (he doesn't post here) and Paul Stavros (rarely posts as worldcruiser2005). Hans just emailed me and he will be on the full SA trip and Paul will be on the first 2 segments.

Marcie; You can add Robert Morris and Donna McInnis for the Callao-FLL leg. Just had an e-mail from Robert, but no stateroom #. They're the folks who were on the Spirit when it was attacked. Donna's arm is almost healed, but she's still having trouble with her hearing. Robert's taking her to Puerto Vallarta to help her heal quicker.

Great Doug! I'll add them to our list. I look forward to meeting your friends and hearing all about such a scary event they went through. The 6 of us for dinner in CR, OK?

Wait, I just realized they're on seg. 4 and you and Lynn are on seg. 3! Be sure and have them contact us in #902. I'd love to meet them.

Marcie; You won't have any trouble recognizing Robert and Donna. Robert is a very tall, distinguished and rather good looking gent. Donna is a nice looking lady. They're always in the Mariner lounge before dinner for drinks and smokes. I'm getting my cruises mixed up, but I think you may have already met them.
