We've been on the PG in a Cat C balcony before and we were wondering if the Cat B was laid out differently with more closet and drawer space and if the bathroom was a tad bigger. I found the Cat C was perfectly adequate for the shorter 7 day cruise but for a longer voyage of 15 days or so with sea days, I'm not sure how confining it might be. I'm talking about the regular C's and not the new aft/stern ones that seem to be a bit bigger. Also, is there much difference between the B & A category? I could care less about the butler in either category so that would have no influence on my choice of cabin. Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.

We've been in both a Cat C and a Cat B for 14 days. Gretchen and I did a B2B in a C. Three of us (cousin Cheryl) did a (we were upgraded)Cat B Tahiti 14 days to Fiji. Suites are (as I recall) laid out the same as the C. Though I've been accused of suffering from CRS. Basically, suites are same width just deeper and a bigger balcony. Same closet and bathroom. The extra depth for us was a real blessing as it was a perfect place to put the rollaway bed (the love seat/sofa didn't make out into a bed; they put a very nice rollaway type on the other side of the curtain from the regular bed. All that said I didn't actually measure anything. Closet space is still a bit cramped for 14 days but doable. The bigger balcony was a real plus as we almost always had breadfast there and all three of us could get around the table on the balcony. The location of the Bs was nice (close to the front porch at the forward end of deck 8 and removed from noise and disturbances yet handy (but I guess that part is true no matter where you are on PG). We were glad we were in a B yet, to be perfectly honest we would never pay for it. But that us. There's just a lot of things I think we'd enjoy more for the money.

Hope that helps some.
Greg

Other thing for SURE is the B is a KING bed and the C is a QUEEN bed. Lots of controversy about this subject but I check when I was on the ship late last year. I did not have a tape for measurements but there was no doubt the B bed is bigger.
