I know this was discussed here a few days ago - but was there any consensus on when the full 2006 schedule will be out? Ngaire - does RSSC generally mark which ones are 2-for-1s and discounted at this time? When do you think B & K will have their specials out?
(Can you tell I'm having cruise-withdrawal after only a few days????)

Bobbi - welcome back and thanks for all of your trip reports! I enjoyed reading them and am glad you had a good time.
On Ngaire's website, the middle button "06 as available" is sorted by 2 for 1s; I assume she'll fill those in as the schedule becomes completely available.
I hear you about cruise withdrawl .. it sidelines me for a couple of days, too, after I get home. Cheers, Anne

Bobbi, when we got back from our Norway cruise last summer, I was practically a maniac until I could get another cruise scheduled. It was less than a week before I booked our October 2005 Diamond cruise. Somehow once I got the cruise booked -- even though it was 15 months away -- I could sit back and relax! So rest assured that there are others here who are thinking about their next cruise as they "recover" from cruise withdrawal.

No idea when the schedule will come out. We have the World Cruise, the Antarctica and last week South America.
RSSC does not sort by 2 for 1 or Free Air or any other title like that. They do have a SPECIALS page but they are all mixed up. That is why I "TRY" to keep those up but it is increasingly difficult.
2006 I am going to have to do my web a whole different way. I am expecting rules about not advertising any price lower than the RSSC price so my prices wont be able to be published. Therefore there is no sense in all those pricing tables with insurance and deposit calculated.
On a given day we can get 40 changes on the RSSC website and keeping it all up is a constant battle. Therefore I may just do links to the appropriate pages of the RSSC site with pricing and itineraries etc.
We will still plan to sort by Destination and keep up the 2 for 1 list and Free Air list etc because I do think that is helpful when selecting a cruise. Thinking all that through now as to how to handle the web.

I'm having a problem wording my thoughts on the possibility of RSSC going with "that rule", but it would disappoint me if they do.

Why that particular one, LOL???
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

Can we infer that the Mariner will probably stay on this side of the world that time of year, then??

I agree with Pam and Masaki. I love the pricing tables on Ngaire's website, so easy to figure it all out. Our first TA with Radisson was never clear about prices and we always felt that we were not getting the best price. After a few other unfortunate incidents, we changed! Wish Radisson would see it differently. Clear information is a great selling tool in my opinion.

I too echo all the comments on the 2006 whereby Ngaire won't be able to clearly post prices on the website, because RSSC is going to enforce a rule.

It is not just RSSC all the cruise lines are instituting this rule so it is the "times" we live in. It is inevitable and has been discussed for about a year. RCCL and others are already enforcing this. I do expect it within the next months. I will miss my tables too it makes it so easy for me to look at everything and the amount of the deposits etc. Constant change~!!!

This actually seems like a bad idea to me because I'm a lazy person...Seeing the prices on B&K's website is what prompted me even to consider RSSC in the first place. It becomes really obvious at how great a value RSSC is compared to the other lines. I'm not the sort of person who likes to shop around and call all sorts of different travel agents and ask for different recommendations. If RSSC had been enforcing this policy back when I was starting to consider alternate cruise options, I probably would have never bothered trying RSSC.

The prices could be non published for the public. There could be a price list for members that could be emailed in the same format or a "members only" access page
