We have friends that travel all over with only carry on luggage. They are thinking about MUSH!

But, they end up doing laundry every other day. On a two week cruise at an hour and a half for washing and drying that is almost a whole day out of the trip. I'd rather pay the overweight charge (and have yet to do so!). With PIP being a warm weather cruise, the clothes are pretty light so there's room for toys!

Kathy - the swimsuits, sunscreen, reef shoes and sandals are definitely going to make the cut. I'll have to do one pair for the plane (sneakers) and two in the suitcase - sandals & black loafers. Have to pack for onward visit to Thailand & Bali but will strive for carry-on luggage only, too. We'll find out just how reasonable the laundry costs are in Bangkok, it seems! No wonder I don't want to tackle this assignment just yet.

I had a fasting blood test this morning, so that served as a good excuse to practice the eggs and mimosa assignment this morning on the outside deck. :D Cheers, Anne

I actually can attest to the fact that I have never known Sheri to bring more than 3 pair of shoes, white sandals, white heels, and whatever she wears on the plane.

However... by day number 2 she has generally "misplaced" them somewhere on the ship. She borrowed a casual pair from Penny on MINT as the white high heels seemed a tad inappropriate to wear with shorts.

I generally am forced to handle my own bags even when traveling with my S/O. Some time ago while dragging my suitcase up a flight of stairs in the train station in Cittavechia, he said if he didn't see me wearing every outfit and every pair of shoes, they were going overboard.

These discussions are so fun to read! I will be joining Donna's ppfPIP club, too! You all should give a prize to the PIP girl who brings the least amount of shoes and to the one who brings the most.

Yes, you guys DO have my number....in the evening...AFTER dinner (usually), the shoes are being carried as opposed to being worn.

On MINT, with my little "fiasco", my shoes and other various items were being held ransom by an un-named passenger....so, thank goodness I had friends on board who loaned me certain items!

However, to relate another shoe story, and I think I can do this now as the person named is no longer involved in RSSC....I was on a certain ship....cruising around certain islands in French Polynesia, and the French co-owner of the ship kept....um....borrowing my shoes...they would turn up in various places...he explained to me that he has a shoe fettish!!!!!!!

I guess I have a shoe reputation!!!!! <img border="0" alt="[naughty]" title="" src="graemlins/naughty.gif" />

I wonder what will happen on PIP??? <img border="0" alt="[vhappy]" title="" src="graemlins/icon_vhappy.gif" />

I think you should walk around in your white heels, wearing your short shorts. Suzanne thinks it is inappropiate, but think of all the gossip you will generate & if you should happen to dance with her pole - you could get really good sexy. Beating then off with a stick!!!!

Ziplock question for Cyndi: Do you pack your clothes in the gallon size bag, or do they make larger? If so, where do you buy them. :D Thanks

Well, I'm not Cyndi but I have found larger ones at Target. Don't remember what size, just larger than gallon

Mounds - Vickie is right - you can get the larger ones at Target. I got ones that are the brand "Hefty" and are 2 1/2 gallon with a zipper closure. The zipper closure seems to work better than ones without to keep the air out of bags. The gallon size are not big enough for most clothes, but are great for accessories and misc. items.

I bet they have the 2 1/2 gallon size at Walmart, too. Not positive, tho.
