The only thing that you mentioned that concerns me is pay in advance.. there are so many tour guides/drivers that don't ask for up front payment. The one time we did pay upfront the guy showed up 2 hours later than our pre-arranged time ..of course we had taken a cab by then..he left a note with the ship, that there was traffic ( hello- he lived in that town and he was the tour operator-should've know traffic patterns)in any event took alot of email and letters to get him to send even 1/2 of our money back -
so would just be cautious about doing that- eben if the guy sounds wonderful ( as he did)..
