Ngaire - I know you helped me out once before in sending me a brochure on things I could order for someone going on an RSSC cruise - but do you (or anyone else) know if there is a place to get that info and order online? I'd like to give my DH casino chips for Xmas! (A gift he will definitely appreciate.)
Can you buy casino chips in advance? If all else fails, I will just make up my own "certificate".

Bobbi,
I think that it would be really cute to use your own chips and create something fun and then buy the chips when you get on board. Red Chips are $5, Green are $25 and Black are $100. You could gift wrap them in tissue and cellophane or a zillion other ways that would be fun to open

I agree with Kathy....don't knock yourself out trying to figure out how to do it....be creative!
You might want to add a few white ones($1) and blue ones($.50).

Anthony - do they really have blue ones onboard? I can't remember ever seeing them. And yes, I probably will just create something myself!

Sorry I did not see this post before. I have never been asked this and honestly I think to get the real chips could be quite an ordeal. They are like real money and I am not sure that Radisson would want to faciliate transferring of money around. The casinos are separate from Radisson and are run by third parties. I dont even know who runs the concession.
The easiest way to acheive this would be if anyone on the LCT boards is going on a ship and would bring back some chips for you and the two of you do the exchange of dollars for chips. I bet Wes would do that for you if you were able to email him or ask on these threads.
He keeps posting and is still on board. He is such a nice man I am sure this would be something he would not mind.

Thanks Ngaire...but you are right....that's a lot of trouble. I am taking the advice above and making up my own "package" of chips. I do know that on some cruise lines you can "buy" a casino chip package where you pay in advance just as you would for a bottle of sail-away wine or champagne, and they deliver a certificate to your stateroom. I guess RSSC doesn't have a package like that. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.

I have not ever investigated a package like that Bobbi it might be available never tried. It is not on the standard brochure of available guest gifts.

I'm not sure Radisson and their casinos are complete partners. I chatted with the casino manager quite a bit while I was playing 3-card Poker, and he was bemoaning the fact that you can't get cash in the casino, signed against your onboard account. He wanted everybody to put that on their suggestion card, because he said people get quite upset when he and his staff have to tell them no. I know I've seen people say they could do that on other lines, in threads at CC.

Pam, I had the exact same conversation with a pit boss on MINT!! I did write it on my suggestion card too as requested.

Marcie, I can't remember his name but he had a very cool British accent. He was great fun to listen to.
David, maybe? I know Wendi was on there until one of our port stops, then she got off to transfer over to Voyager.
