We got upgraded to a butler suite. Since we had not planned on being in such a suite, now that I have been upgraded I have a few questions. The RSSC website says that there is an iPod® music system in all Butler suites. Does this mean there is a docking system for your personal ipod? Also, the website says there is in room bar set up in Butler suites only, although I have seen on this forum that most cabin attendants will stock any room. My question is, now that the ship is all inclusive, are we limited to one premium bottle in a butler suite? I would love to get a bottle of Grey Goose and a bottle of Baileys. I know Grey Goose is premium. In the past, we have always been able to get a bottle of Baileys along with some non-premium vodka. All this was before things were all-inclusive. I would forgo the vodka if need be, since I can have my vodka drinks in the lounge. However, I like the glass of Baileys right before bed time. Once again, any info is greatly appreciated.

Standard suites don't come with a liquor setup, but then they never did. The standard setup in the butler suites used to be 4 bottles; one scotch, one rum, one bourbon; and one gin or vodka. I'm sure you'll be able to get what you want, unless it is considered a premium. Grey Goose is not considered premium for your purposes, nor is Baileys.

Actually, before RSSC went inclusive, the standard suites came with a liquor setup. I expect you can get it if you ask. Otherwise, you can always order your nightcap from room service.

We got two bottles non-premium (Sambuca & Bailys) per segment on the WC and 2 bottles on FJORDS and we were in a standard cabin.

We received 2 bottles this summer on the Navigator. Unfortunately the form arrived on our last full day on the ship. We didn't request it earlier, as we were too busy having fun.

The iPod music system is a portable iPod speaker for you to dock your personal iPod. It charges your iPod while plugged in and runs on batteries if you want to unplug it and move it around the room. It was a nice feature of our Butler Suite back in May. We had Abosolut and a bottle of Cabernet for our liquor setup. Our butler refreshed our bottle of wine when it got low (which was often). We barely touched our vodka since we always seemed to be meeting people at the bar for pre/post dinner drinks.

Doug, that is just what the brochure says. In a standard cabin, you can still request a 2-bottle bar set up on embarkation, and it will be replenished upon request. This has been my experience on my 3 cruises since Regent went all-inclusive.

We were in a Butler Suite last year and we do not own an iPod and our butler brought us one to use during the cruise. :)

if the butler brought you an iPod, what kind of music was loaded onto it?

It was loaded with a wide variety of music. Jazz, 50's,60's,70's, classical, Jimmy Buffet, Can remember if there was rap or hip hop though that is probably not the Regent audience. Also they now have a butler menu so you can order what you want off this list for them to bring you for an afternoon snack. Everything from Shrip and Crab claws to veggies.
We just got off the Navigator last week. Good service and the food was very good. Their weakness is still their dessert IMO. It would be nice to once in awhile to have some more standard things like a good pie, cobbler, or even chocolate cake. The men at our table would have appreciated something a little more simple.
