An exciting Preakness race today! Bodemeister was surpassed by I'll Have Another (who did exactly that) to take the second leg of the Triple Crown in horse racing.
Not as exciting as the Bucking Horse Sales (BHS), I will grant you. When will the national TV networks figure out a half hour show on the BHS would be VERY entertaining.
Belmont, anyone? It will be fun to watch, given the rivalry.

That was sooooooo exciting. We were rooting for Have Another all the way!
t's been 34 years since Affirmed won the triple crown, I think it's about time!!

We headed over to Monmouth Park today for an hour. Gary cleared the exacta in the 8th race .. paid for our admission and losing bets, anyway.
Banner was up for Ruffian after having watched two filly races. She was in a class all her own as a thoroughbred. RIP, Ruffian.
Can't wait for the Belmont .. it's been a LOOONGG time since we've had a triple crown winner.

I just heard that I'll Have Another won't lead the post parade after all. They're afraid he'll think he's out there for a race and might get a little too frisky. He's out of the paddock and walking around now. Definitely a crowd favorite.
