Rose at Radisson just returned my call from earlier today. Said we had been flagged for "no mailings". I asked her to change that for mom and me. She went over our cruise record (all of our cruises were included - even the pre-Radisson ones on the Song) and we have 107 nights sailed. She was very pleasant and it's nice to know that the letter is "in the mail."

Beth,

No letter for me yet. I was the one who initially contacted her and posted her info on LCT for others to refer to for assistance. Glad Rose was able to help you. I'll give it a few more days and then make a follow-up call.

Denise, Thanks for posting the contact info. At least I now know that it was a computer hang up that caused the delay of our letters. Hopefully the problem is solved. I bet some of the others here who haven't received their letters may have that flag set on their records, too.

Pam, I finally broke down and called Radisson on Monday. Speak with Rose Clark at(800) 477-7500 Ext. 7459. She called back in about 5 hours and cleared up everything for us. I found her pleasant and helpful. Denise posted this info in an earlier message.

I just called and left a message for Rose Clark. Laundry was calling my name, but since I needed to email Ngaire about Mark faxing passport pages, I remembered to do this. I'll report back.

I called Rose Clark yesterday for the third time and left a message again. She called in late afternoon and gave us our count. It was wrong but she said she was including a correction form along with the tally and that she was putting it in the mail last night. As you said, she is very nice. Marilyn

I got a call back from Rose yesterday after leaving 4 messages, and our count was correct. It seems we were on a list requesting no mail. She was quite nice and said the letter would be in the mail tomorrow.

Is this the much-needed impetus for RSSC to finally get a functional client mailing list? Let us hope so! If not, what a waste of Rose's time.

Our letter was here when we returned & was correct. One less call for Rose to field.

Cheers, Anne

It would be interesting if we turned up on that "no mailing" list, since we get advertising mail from them quite frequently.

I saw Rose in FLL when I went last week. She was turning grey!!! I cannot tell you how many thousands and thousands of letters went out. Many times when only one letter was received the problem lies with the fact that people got TWO mailings of everything (two names) and years ago changed it to ONE mailing (one name). Then when these letters went out if that had happened only one mailing (one name) was sent.

I do feel for Rose. Her emails were in the mulitple hundreds, the phone was clogged with calls. It is a lot for one person to handle. She also got a lot of calls with people either wanting to vent they did not like the program or there are many who also think the program is good and they call too. These all take a lot of time and she is a very patient person so I am sure she gives each person she is talking to total attention. Really they should have had a whole bunch of people fielding these calls but then Rose knows the situation so well.

She used to be a cruise consultant on board and is a truly lovely person. Be patient she will get back to everyone eventually.

I am sure this will help with the mailing list and that will be a nice side benefit of all of this.

While on our last cruises I picked up the cruise atlas and the South Pacific book, which are different. I reluctantly gave the South Pacific brochure away to someone we met at Hotel Bora Bora.

I did not have high hopes then when I requested another one on the RSSC website since they have never ever sent me anything I've asked for. I was therefore absolutely delighted this morning to receive an email confiming that they mailed me the brochure!! It's not in my hands yet but I am confident it's on its way.

The simple act of sending me this brochure has probably at least stalled my first Silversea cruise. I am not wowed by the new tier program but now I'm willing to give Radisson a chance to tweak it into something worthwhile.

They put copies of both books in our suite, but since we already had the Cruise Atlas we left them there for the next passengers.

I know for a fact that's my situation. I remember when I called a couple of years ago. We were getting two of everything and it seemed like such a waste!. I don't think I'm going to bother Rose, after all I know already what the tier "benefits" are.

Again today, I am like Bonnie - No letter, no return call from Rose, no nothing.
Oh, but I did receive a nice email asking if I was interested in joining the WC. So I am still on some list. :app:

Betty, I received that WC email today, too. I think the email list is different from the snail mail list. Maybe Rose will return your call tomorrow. Wishin' and hopin'. ;)

I got a call from Rose this morning; we were like so many others, I was flagged for "no mail" and that stopped our letter (Mark gets mail from them at least once a week). She went over our nights, and everything was right. Of course, with just four cruises under our belt, it wasn't difficult to keep up with our count.

She's a very nice lady.

Rose must be flooded with inquiries. We're a fairly small cross-section of a larger picture of people who want answers to questions on their cruise night status.

She was very nice when I spoke with her and those still waiting can be fairly certain she will address each inquiry received. Follow-up never hurts just to let her know you still want your situation addressed and resolved, if need be. Hope you hear something very soon, Betty.

Since I spoke with Rose on Monday, I surely thought I'd have received my letter by now. No letter yet. If it is coming from FLL, "snail mail" certainly retains its name. Rose did say something about getting the correct paper in the printer. Those of you who have received your letters, is it on special stock or color?

Beth, she told me it could be five or six weeks before we receive the actual letter. She didn't say why, and I didn't ask.

I forgot to mention that Penny and I got our individual tally sheets on Jan. 11 and they showed 26 days total. 2003 -- Seven days Tahiti (our first Radisson cruise) 2004 -- 12-days Norway Capt. Dag's Way and 7 days MINT. No cruise during 2005. OUCH!

Cheers! Ray & Penny

Beth,

I was the first person (on LCT) to contact Rose and I'm still waiting for my letter! After mailing out so many letters, they must have run out of that special paper the letter was printed on! Possible cause for delay - they placed an order for more special stock paper from their printer and are awaiting delivery before they can run off the letters still outstanding! Sounds as good as any reason!

Thanks, Pam. I don't remember Rose giving me that info. Guess I'll just twiddle my thumbs until the letter gets here.

Thx, Denise, but I'd be just as happy with mine emailed, sans the special paper. But this is a big announcement for Radisson.

I'm sorry but...... who runs this company? LOL!!!
Letters can't go out because their paper order will take weeks? Maybe they should get a new paper supplier. If doesn't seem like Radisson has a lot of clout with their current supplier!

Editing to add: I just noted that this is a possible explanation. At first I thought it was the explanation they gave Denise. Sorry Denise, didn't mean to misconstrue your words :) .

Anyway, 5 or 6 weeks seems a little extreme.

I think I'm not going to bother calling.

Hi Maria,

My comment was very tongue-in-cheek! You didn't misconstrue anything! I have a strange sense of humor! But, you bought it for a moment, didn't you?? Kidding, of course!

At this stage of the game, I don't care if I get the letter or not. Alan is silver (his hair and his tier level). I will share his "perks."

LOL!!! Yes, for a minute you got me! I guess I could see that being given as an explanation with a straight face. This whole thing has been bungled so badly that the lack of paper excuse would go hand in hand with the other blunders!

BTW, maybe the reason I'm not worrying too much is the same as yours: my DH is also silver so I guess I'll be sharing his perks as well!

See, Maria, it all works out for us! We just ride on the coat tails of our husband's benefits...provided they take us along! :D Alan would have to take me along, as I plan everything and he just shows up and enjoys! Everyone wins!

Mine can't get to his FF miles without me..... he doesn't even know the PIN code of his own account( the one with all the miles!) :D . So, if he wants to travel for free he needs me!

Noticed a teensy contradiction in the membership material. On the fine, beautifully printed Society Privileges sheet, each tier from Silver to Platinum says, "Everything for Seven Seas Members,...Plus", etc., i.e. all tier benefits are cumulative from level to level.

But..., the little Notice card inserted inside, says, "...Please note that while some benefits accumulate from tier to tier, others are on a per-tier basis." What is with these people??

I just checked out that card, Wendy. It also states "Full details, terms and conditions will be provided in our upcoming membership package. You may also access them online at www.rssc.com after January 15, 2006."

Upcoming membership package? Does that mean another mailing to look forward to?

Happy to report that we finally got our letter here on board yesterday (even mentions something like Happy Holidays!). I haven't read through it yet. The only thing I noticed is that it does seem to separate husband and wife now (Tom and I each received a letter). It would appear that I must do all the cruising while "bless his little heart" Tom stays home. Shows ME with 588 nights! Guess I'll look into it when I get home in March. No big deal since none of it goes into effect until April anyway and there is no higher incentive to strive for.
