While this topic has been pretty well "discussed out", I hope no one has made you hesitant to raise matters of this type again. What would a new cruiser learn from this topic? Valuable information that the number of dress codes in the Radisson docs may not be accurate, and to plan accordingly. One problem many who have not cruised have with the concept of cruising is they feel pre cruise info is lacking. I tend to agree with them.
Thanks, Richard :) :) :)

Sue...sorry if my response seemed to imply anything other than an interest in reassuring cruisers that the dress code on RSSC is not diffcult to deal with.
Some other posters seemed to be worried about changes after boarding and laundry issue etc.
It's fun to exchange ideas about cruise wardrobes etc., please don't be put off by anything I've written.

Joanna....I'll help pack if I can go along!
Even with a plan, packing is a pain. Thank goodness there something really wonderful on the "other side".
Enjoy you cruise, we want to hear all about it!
Hint: Seamail!

Joanna, you are way ahead of me, I just got home from work (one of those days) and am about to start packing. We'll see how it goes with all those formal nights which we already know about!
Richard, while I do not doubt that what happened to you is true (adding an extra formal night on one cruise), I have to pipe in and say that in my 10 cruises with Radisson, I have never experienced one cruise where I had a surprise sprung on me re dress code after I boarded. I have never heard another poster complain of this either.
My rule on vacation is not to stress about that which I cannot change. So if I get an extra formal night, I would probably dress in the formal clothes that were with me, eat in the room, go to the casual alternative and blow it right over my shoulder. The less flexible we are, the more we can find to complain about, and the more unhappy memories we keep about really unimportant stuff! I try to forget traffic snarls on the way to the airport, the unpleasantness of air travel today, and minor service problems on the ship. If I can get rid of those thoughts, I find my memories enhanced, and thus the constant need to find another cruise to enjoy! Just my thoughts vis a vis yours. Of to pack for my flight tomorrow!

Tony is furious with me - I am soooo paranoid about the luggage not arriving and yes I packed some stuff in a carry on so I posted a blow up sign on my luggage that says Nice France #82 and taped it on - he said you have to be kidding me you look like a fool - I said the fool is not cooking your dinner tonight - Also just got off the phone with my daughter who has all 3 of my granddaughters tonight (2 ten yr olds one nine) but she wanted to talk about ten year old girls and did i realize blah blah blah the gist being they are now sexually active at 12 ...I said no I just want to go on my cruise spare me the details - J

their due for all that they put us through. I highly doubt your daugter has to worry about sexually active 12 year olds. Me, I don't have grandchildren yet, so I am concentrating on packing!
I am taking only one "big" bag for check in and it weighs in at 57 pounds! Enough to get through the international limit of 70 pounds, even though I have to travel to another city to get to my gateway to Europe. (USAirways) Don't know what will happen when I get to Munich and have to get to Nice. I have so much more clothing than I would ever need. This packing could last me for three weeks or more without having to do laundry, or maybe even BAIL with some laundry service! I have found that since I did not want to leave my wooden shoe trees in the shoes, underwear works great to get rid of the creases! Tomorrow, all I have to do is go to the local CVS and get all the OTC meds, that I always put in a big baggie.

This is strange, somehow that last post lost what came before that I know I wrote. I guess I was saying that our children will always get their due .....(

Wishing you sunny skies and smooth seas.
