I've read a favorable review of Cap't Larry on Cruise Critic's Alaska boards and I see the Mushers are booking Cap't Larry of Orca Enterprises. My question is: Why? Why not book the whale watching shore excursion offered by Regent? We sail on the Mariner Wednesday Aug 2!!!!

cruzaddict, I think it's because Cap't Larry is somewhat of a local legend, and there is a large group of lct people aboard. I'm sure Regent's whale watching excursion will be fine.

Why hasn't anyone asked me this?????!!!! I LOVE CAPT. LARRY! For those of you who have sailed with me in Alaska, you know I show a photo of a humpback lunge feeding and I credit Capt. Larry for the photo. The most incredible experiences I have had whale watching have been with him. If you decide to go with him, please tell him that I send my regards and hope you will habe a great day! Seriously!!!
