It is time to get those FF miles for the Paris - AMA Christmas Wonderland Cruise. To clarify: You LEAVE the USA on 12/2/09 to arrive in Paris on 12/3/09. Three nights in Paris. Board the ship on 12/6/09 and then sail for 7 nights. Debark the boat on 12/13/09 and fly home. You can leave the boat as early as you want on 12/13/09 as we arrive in Amsterdam on 12/12/09 http://www.bkrivercruises.com/christmas_wonderland.htm

Just had our PARIS FF air booked with American. Received the email this morning confirming everything. Now besides the taxes you expect to pay there is a $40 telephone ticketing service charge. All they do is press a button to send. Because there was a British Air portion, I could not book online, I had to call AA.

I hate all these fees. At least AA lets you change dates and times without charging $100. p.p. fee like Delta (plus you can put it on hold for longer and seems easier to extend it if you're waiting for return flights to load in computer) USAir wants $150. p/p/ to redeposit miles if your plans cancel/change. I think it's called getting screwed without so much as a hug or kiss.
