And the official exchange rate was around 8.23 on 9/18. You'll all need extra suitcases for the goodies you can buy.

Fantastic reports...I love hearing from all the different groups/couples at different spots all at the same time! Here is where we can REALLY begin to picture what Ngaire's spreadsheet must have looked like  ;)
Thank you all, continue to enjoy and keep those reports coming!!!

Pat described our day very well so we'll just add a few photos. Though we went through a few small showers, for the most part it was a sunny (though chilly) day. We enjoyed spectacular views at Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. We just got back from a great dinner with Bert, Mitch, Tonya and John at Savoy Cabbage. Excellent food (the adventurers of the group had kudu) and we continue to be surprised at how reasonable the prices of food and wine are for the quality. A strong exchange rate certainly helps! We're all packed for the safari camps and very excited about heading out tomorrow. We've really enjoyed our time in Cape Town and Hermanus, and so it's on to the next adventure! June and a friendly (hungry) ostrich Lighthouse at Cape Point Cliffs at Cape Point Penguins at Boulders Beach
