Kathy, maybe you could store your lovely obelisk in one of the hatboxes.
circleboy, I laughed out loud at your story. Too funny.

Alan had a gift exchange at work this afternoon. He is the proud recipient of a flashing neon "Las Vegas" sign!

LOL, circleboy! We have some art like that. When the artist visits, out it comes. When the artist goes home, back it goes underneath the bed or in the closet.
Denise, what are you going to do with the sign? Hey, maybe it is a "sign" that you should go to Las Vegas!

We just got back from Vegas on Sunday. Once was enough for us. We're sore loosers!
As for the sign - Anyone? Anyone?

Mark and I did NOT get married as teenagers. We were in our mid 30's and considered ourselves quite worldly. Well, he burst that bubble on the Christmas before we got married in January. He gave me a can opener and one of those mirrored dresser tray things. After that, I'd always hint around that surely we would find something really neat on our next trip. He'd breathe a sigh of relief and agree with me.
