We have a pool going on at my office. We put all of the Survivor names in a hat and each pulled out one. Whoever has the winning name gets the money at the end.I wanted Tom but ended up with Kobe. I am still going to root for Tom to win. I really like him.

SOOOoooo...anyone lovin' this season? I sure am! I thought it was a pretty good one last night, although not overly dramatic. The cat fight between the two girls was kind of funny -- people just lose their cool sometimes, and seem to completely forget they are in a game, playing for an AWFUL lot of money! I'm bummed about Jeff - he's from our area, and our local paper has been featuring him. Ya gotta admire his team spirit and honor, tho. But hey, I'm just happy Tom is still around! :D
I thought the snake attack was quite thrilling and scary. I remember reading in the previews that someone gets injured, and I was worried that one of them would get bitten! I thought they were being pretty foolhardy, but they sure made short order of those snakes. It was sad that they didn't get to eat them, tho. I do hope they manage to catch a shark without costing anyone a limb.
I was really hoping that they'd vote off Kim and give Jeff a chance to heal, although he did say that his history with his ankle is that it really wouldn't get any better for a long time. Oh well. With Jeff now gone, Kim is going to have to do something awfully miraculous to stay in the game if they end up at tribal council again, that's for sure.
I'm sure the producers are bummed about Jeff too -- they had a pretty surefire opportunity for some island nookie, doncha think?
Anyway, while Tom is still my number one guy, my 2nd favorite is now Bobby Jon, he of the incredible work ethic. I think he's sweet, and cute. And besides, he had the class and confidence to compliment Tom, and call him a "man among men"! ;)

LeeAnne, both Tom and Bobby John certainly pull their own weight! I am rooting for both of them as my favorites, too! The tatoo girl really tries her hardest, too. I just wish they would of sewn themselves some better clothing

Yes, they do seem to not have done much with that reward, other than making...what...diapers and togas? ;)
I really admire Angie too, and think she's really made herself into a huge asset for her team. I do wish they'd stop showing so many shots of her hairy armpits, though. But I guess I should be glad at least that she's no longer running around in that horrid underwear!!

Marie, If you ever want to know exactly what you missed on Survivor, just click here: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor10/ It will give you a good run-down on the latest episode, as well as additional tid-bits. The cat-fight was between Caryn and Katie, who got into it over the fact that Caryn felt like Katie was constantly ragging on her. She went a bit overboard in her anger, tho, and ended up looking like a screaming mimi!

LeeAnne - Thanks for the website lead. I found the bit where they put a name to a face great as I am still having trouble remembering who's who!
We're a bit behind here - only watched your last week's episode last night. I wondered about the shark - thought I might have nodded off and missed them catching it but the webiste put me straight with the poll to see if they'll ever catch one.
Although our tattoed friend looks as if she's wearing paisley gear, I do question that bikini!!
What were your thoughts on Jeff leaving - do you think he should have hung in there? I was surprised they actually voted him off.
Your memory of each episode astounds me - I'm lucky if I retain half of it!!

Lee, that isn't her bathing suit, what she is wearing is what my Hungarian grandmother would call her "goochies" :)

LeeAnne!! Thanks for the website - really came in handy!! I actually have a DVR, but didn't know I would be gone as long as I was - so I didn't tape it!!
Oh, by the way - and quite funny - had to go to a local vet to check on this abused kitten/cat I rescued from the heat (couldn't take it to no-kill shelter as it wasn't socialized enough - only to find out it was pregnant, so I'm now a "proud surrogate mother" to 5 rambuncious kittens that have taken over my house!) Anyway, I thought it may have feline leukemia or renal failure, she wasn't acting the same. Walk in - and I swear it had to be Tom's (the fireman's) brother I was staring at!! Had to pick my chin up from the floor!! Needless to say, I think I found a new vet, we had a great conversation (he's also in the Army Reserves - as is his wife, whom I've also met now!!)

I'm still addicted to both Amazing Race and Survivor.
At first it was difficult for me to watch Angie. But she has grown on me. I have a problem with looking at people with piercings in their face (not to mention her lack of outerwear). But I have to admit that gal is playing and working hard! She has been one of her teams' best competitor's in the challenges.

I thought I'd have a sneak look in here to see what I'm going to see tomorrow night and no-one has commented. In the 'shorts' they mention an 'Australian visitor' which has me intrigued.

Lee, it's a great episode! The visitor does something quite special for one of the tribes.

Karen: I must have blinked!! Are we talking about building the shelter? Was there an Aussie in there somewhere? I really should put a tape in as well as watch it so that I don't have to ask dumb questions.
The teams are certainly lopsided at the moment - hope things improve!

Yes, I think the builder guy was an Aussie!
