OK.... I feel the need to hop in here with a few basics re: spam.
Most of you know this stuff.
This is for the guys who don't.

1. Empty emails are from spammers who are trying to verify your email address as real.
2. Do not open anything from anyone you do not know without a very good reason.
3. Do not open any email with no subject
4. Do not open any email with YOUR email address as the return address
5. Do not open any email with the subject: "hi" or "hello" (tell your friends)
6. Do not ask to be removed from the spammer's list via a "click here". You will only get more spam.
7. Use a throw-away email address when asked for an email address... like hotmail or Yahoo
8. forward all criminal spam to: UCE@ftc.gov
9. That guy in NIgeria will never give you the money.
10. Any email that uses numbers or letters to substitute for each other is spam. ie: V1agra.
11. any email that talks about prescription drugs being available is Spam
12. Any email that is from 'Amber' or has anything sexual is spam
13. Any email that suggests that you can get.... whatever (sexual reference) by dinner time tonight is spam

and the list goes on & on.

Spam is based on sending out millions of emails with the hope of a few responses.
Let's lower their response rates!
