Any advice on where to stay prior to our Voyager Dec 6th Caribbean trip? We stayed at the Sheraton Creek after our Panama Canal trip and it was not a very nice hotel and far away from everything. Thanks Penny

Penny, we always stay at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. The grounds are beautiful, he pool bar serves the best cheeseburgers and the revolving lounge on the top floor is a lot of fun! The hotel is right on the intercoastal waterway for a great view as well. The average Priceline price for this hotel is around $80 a night which is much less than you can get it if you book direct. Here is the view from the revolving lounge: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.wctravel.com/images-hotels/10204434/hyatt_pier66_7.jpg)

Another thought. The Riverside Hotel on Las Olas has, I understand, just been renovated. I've never stayed there (we live 30 minutes north in Boca Raton) but the food is good and the location is excellent. Lots of shops and restaurants right there. Fun to walk around if you have a few hours before boarding the ship.

For years and years, the Embassy Suites was our hotel of choice, but unless they've had a major renovation, those rooms are showing their age. We got walked from there late one night, and taken to the Pier 66; I'm not sure just where we were in that massive complex, but I was sure we had walked into the next county.

RSSC put us at the Embassy Suites before our Panama Canal Cruise. It was clean but not close enough for walking anywhere but the mall next door. I think there was a water taxi stop, but I am not sure if it was there or somewhere else we've been. I would stay at the Hyatt Pier 66. We were H Catagory on Mariner for that cruise. Our friends were in a B Suite and they got put at the Hyatt Pier 66.

Some friends of ours were there last year. They had so many issues their stay wass free. I've given up on Embassy Suites. Too many kids for me and prefer Hyatt, Sheraton or Westin. I like luxury over space.

For anyone else looking for a Lauerdale Hotel - we loved the Riverside right on Las Olas - tons to see and do and lots of restaurants but the pub had very good cheeseburgers (as Karen's hotel had too)and great people watching - we plan to go back for a long weekend as we have grandchildren there - Joanna
