A few months ago I raised a poll to see which captain was liked the most and why. It made for interesting reading and new insights in to captains I had met and those I hadn't.

The reason for this post is to update LCT members about my personal favorite Captain... Captain Jean Marie Guillou. I am not sure if you are aware that he was "Retired" by Regent earlier this year, so suddenly not even the crew were aware he was not returning.

Well I have happy news for the cruising industry (and guests), but unfortunately not for Regent, as Captain Guillou is now the new Master of the Oceania's Insignia!!

I send my best wishes to Captain Guillou and wish him smooth seas. I hope to one day cruise with him again. :woh:
