We did a 3 night pre-cruise at the Moorea Beachcomber in an overwater bungalow and absolutely loved it. I think Moorea was my favorite of all the islands and it was so wonderful to be able to explore it at our leisure. It was a very different experience from the ship but a complimentary one. While it was expensive, it was significantly less expensive than a back to back cruise. I do agree, it is a very long way to travel for just 7 days, I felt the 3 day pre-cruise made it worthwhile.
