Your comment caught my eye as we are scheduled to get our shots next week and then I was going to take our applications and apply in person at the Brazilian Consulate in Washington, DC. I re-checked their website and it provides instructions to apply in person. How did you find out that you could not apply in person at the Chicago Consulate? I've tried to call the one located in Washington to confimr the details and that proved not too user friendly so I'm relying on the info on their website.
