Joanna-

His doctors are all Mayo doctors and when he got home yesterday he was raving about the nurses and staff there. Both my parents have had surgery there and it is an excellent facility. I've spend some time there with them. Unfortunately Dad had back surgery there 2 years ago and developed an infection in the bone - very sick (almost lost him) but there were able to treat it. He has now developed a very rare bone marrow disorder and a skin disorder that I personally think are related to the prior infection or drugs used to treat him. They are doing a biopsy on a lymph node that suddenly became enlarged and that's what I am holding my breath about. I am still very hopeful that all is as normal as it can be given what his body is dealing with. He's so young only 68 so this is even tougher.
I will stay busy packing for our cruise next week as he wouldn't want it any other way but my heart is a bit heavy. My 16 year old son is down there with them and is a tremendous help to there - I'm lucky he's a good kid. I'm sorry if I am rambling but I've been up and down today.
