Oh yes - this is an excellent point. I use a Linksys router that has a hardware firewall. It's my understanding that the hardware-based firewalls are pretty much impregnable because the necessary protection mechanisms are hard-coded & read-only. Mike, is this really the case or is that just propoganda from Linksys?
