Super calm this morning for everyone’s first zodiac ashore at Grytviken which was a whaling processing station and also where Shackelton’s grave is located. It is an interesting landing that also has a tiny church. Beautiful spot with glaciers in the mountains.
I am being very careful with my damaged eye and decided against Grytviken as there is less wildlife there which is what I really love. I plan on going ashore this afternoon at Fortuna Bay hopefully to give a landing a whirl and all will be well. Hopefully it will not be too windy. Ken took some good pictures this morning and I will try posting these today. There were some Kings at Grytviken and I do not remember seeing kings here in the past just gentoos.
