For an inbetween vacation (cruises that is) look into Tauck Tours. All the luxury and pampering of Regent each hotel had marvelous views. In Victoria on Vancouver Island our window had the perfect view of the Empress Hotel while on the Columbia Ice Fields Parkway our room looked over grassy slopes at Lake Louise with Victoria Glacier behind i t.
I cannot praise Tauck enough.
