I can understand your concern - it's never pleasant to read bad things about a cruise you have booked. We go on our first Silversea cruise in 30 days time, so i read this report with interest too. And i agree with Ngaire - it's only one person's opinion and it reflects that person's cruise experience and personality. Everyone's idea of luxury is different - she complains for example about lack of activities on sea days. Well i like to chill out by the pool with a good book :cool: , so luxury for me is not being disturbed by a belly flop contest ;) !!
Of all the things she complains about, the only one that would bother me is poor service in the dining room. And that depends so much on the table your are on and the competence of the wait staff. I've had fantastic service on Celebrity & Seadream, and quite dreadful service on Radisson. I'd still sail with Radisson again though - the cruisers here on LCT rave about Radisson so i reckon i was just unlucky. And if a luxury cruise line consistently fails to deliver - then we'd soon know about it - just look at the regular poor reviews of the QM2.
