Marc; The price for the internet is the same on all of the SS ships; WIFI or in the internet cafe. Best package is 1000 minutes for $250. I don't bring a laptop, but friends have had very good success from their staterooms. Not sure how the satellite coverage is in the Antarctic. Crossing the Atlantic we had good coverage all the way aboard Silver Spirit; albeit slightly slow. SS has had some problems with their satellite provider, MTN, but that has been rectified, hopefully. What MTN did was oversold their bandwidth to the detriment of all of their customers.
