Jan: We have two cats and they are much easier than dogs, I think, as far as traveling - if we are going away for 4 days or less we leave them with plenty of food and water etc - longer than that I have someone come in to empty litter box and check on their food - we were gone for 6 weeks in Jan/Feb and my cat sitter came in 4 times a week - painless - we had our cats declawed and they have never been outside - I am a cat lover!!
