You can train a cat to use the toilet. I did that years ago with the last cat I had. Put saran wrap over the toilet bowl but not over the seat. Put some flushable litter on the saran wrap and show the cat the litter. When they start using it for the litter box eventually you can remove the litter and the saran. Don't flush the saran.
